Cheeky Monkey Cosmetics – Show your True Colours

Feeling adventurous and a little naughty? Cheeky Monkey Cosmetics is not only edgy and fun but, above all, the nail polish line is top-quality. All Cheeky Monkey products are environmentally safe and 3 Free (contains no formaldehyde, toluene, or DBP) with the bottles, brushes and accessories being sourced from around the world.

The CMC collection has over 50 colours to choose from and the number is still growing with the addition of the new spring 2013 lineup. Each shade has been adorned with a playful name that will be sure to illicit a few giggles from you and your girlfriends. To name a few – Spank Me (creamy papaya coral), Booty Call (burgundy plum), Raunchy Bitch (dark metallic blue), Sweet Ass (light pink), Back Alley Sally (creamy fushia) and Trailer Trash (barbie pink).

Here are a few Cheeky tips for application:
-    Start with a buffed clean nail that is free of oil or dirt.
-    Put a thin coat of Wet Dream (sticky base coat) on the nail and let dry for 1-2 minutes. CMC polishes won’t wear as well if put over a naked nail or regular base coat.
-    Apply a thin layer of nail polish next and dry for 1-2 minutes.
-    Apply a second layer of nail polish and dry for 2 minutes.
-    Finish with a layer of I Like it on Top (top coat) and allow nails to dry for 15 minutes.
-    Put Make me Moist cuticle oil on cuticles at the end of the manicure.
-    Allow the polish to cure for about an hour and it will dry to a nice hard finish.

The Body Shop Reveals Leona Lewis as New Brand Activist

“I’m passionate about beauty and I’m all about animal rights. As a result, I’m really conscious of where the products that I use come from. The Body Shop sells cruelty free, ethical products containing amazing Community Fair Trade ingredients. The collaboration is a natural fit!”

On February 28, ethical beauty retailer The Body Shop revealed that British singer and global superstar Leona Lewis has become its new Brand Activist. Seven years since her triumph on The X Factor (UK), Leona has twenty million album sales and a glittering collection of awards and award nominations, yet remains grounded and true to her beliefs. An animal lover and long-time vegetarian, Leona is the perfect partner for The Body Shop and its unique vision of cruelty-free beauty.

As part of the partnership, one of Leona’s first activities is to help The Body Shop and NGO Cruelty Free International in their joint, global campaign to end animal testing for cosmetics forever, building on the EU ban on animal testing for cosmetics which comes into effect on March 11th this year.

Leona has also put her name to an exclusive cruelty-free make-up and fragrance collection, the Limited Edition Collection by Leona Lewis. Featuring 100% vegetarian cosmetics in fashion-forward shades, the Limited Edition Collection by Leona Lewis features quirky packaging with a floral deer motif, celebrating the fact that The Body Shop was one of the first beauty brands to use cruelty-free, man-made musk instead of musk derived from the musk deer. The Limited Edition Collection by Leona Lewis will be available at selected stores from April 15th, 2013.

To celebrate the partnership, Leona will be holding an exclusive gig for fans which will be live streamed March 26th at The Body Shop Facebook. Add your voice and join The Body Shop® in supporting the Cruelty Free International pledge to call for a global ban on animal testing for cosmetics.
