Details: CaribbeanTales International Film Festival (CTFF) celebrates the talents of established and emerging filmmakers of Caribbean heritage who practice their art across the Caribbean Diaspora worldwide – including Canada and the Caribbean, Europe, the Americas, Africa, China, India and the Middle East. CTFF presents a multi-ethnic mix of exciting and dynamic films that showcase diverse and shared stories and cultures. #CTFF2018’s theme is Light it Up – it is a call to action, a call to arms, a call to change.
Opening night will be held at The Royal Cinema, 608 College Street on September 5 (5:30pm -opening reception, 8pm – film presentation). Will feature a special preview screening of Frances-Anne Solomon’s Hero – Inspired By The Extraordinary Life & Times Of Mr. Ulric Cross. This film is about a young man from Trinidad whose life is woven into the tapestry of history. His long life (1917-2013) spanned key events of the 20th Century and included the independence struggles of Africa and the Caribbean. He was a war hero, broadcaster, lawyer, judge and diplomat.
