Unbound – Nuit Rose Festival 2018

Toronto Neighbourhoods West Queen West, University & College, Church-Wellesley Village
When: June 13-16, 2018
Cost: Free

Details: Nuit Rose is back for its fifth annual festival of queer art and performance. Taking the theme Unbound, this year’s festival features art that crosses borders, both real and imagined. The 2018 festival takes place over five nights in June, with programming across Toronto neighbourhoods, including West Queen West, University & College, and the Church-Wellesley Village.

Festival attendees can expect transformational encounters with art that breaks barriers and challenges limitations. As always, Nuit Rose activates Toronto neighbourhoods with provocative, cutting-edge contemporary art by diverse artists, presented at indoor and outdoor venues across the city. Expect Unbound installations, painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, video, and performances of music, poetry, theatre and dance by talented LGBTQ+ creators from Toronto and beyond.

To date, the festival has presented 250+ artists and projects from Canada, the US, Mexico, Jamaica, Italy and Spain. Nuit Rose highlights new and diverse queer voices in the arts, offering a space to emerging and established artists, and bringing these exceptional artists to the community. Nuit Rose Unbound promises to be the biggest showcase yet!
