Viking Adventures Await Kids of All Ages at ROM March Break

Cost: The Exhibition is specially ticketed and not included with general admission. March Break is also the last chance to experience the ROM’s featured, separately ticketed exhibitions Christian Dior and Wildlife Photographer of the Year.
Details: The Vikings are taking over the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) during March Break. Experience interactive games and hands-on learning designed to bring out the adventurous Viking spirit in kids and parents alike. All drop-in activities are free with general admission, and the ROM will have extended hours of operation.
ROM March Break: Viking Adventure Highlights:
-Explore a Viking Village and the daily lives of the legendary Norse people, with living history re-enactors from program partners Torvik and Wulfthorpe;
-Make Viking bling using spirals, braids, and symbols, just as skilled Norse artisans did;
-Play the part of a mighty Viking warrior and create a shield wall;
-Compete in feats of strength and challenge your mind with games in the Viking Family Lounge;
-Learn the meaning and magic behind the runic alphabet of Viking peoples;
-Go on adventurous and creative scavenger hunts through the Museum with ROM Quests, presented by ROM World Cultures in partnership with the Archaeological Institute of America and the University of Toronto.
ROM March Break extended hours of operation are as follows:
March 10-17, 10am to 7pm. Programming runs from 10:30am to 6:30am.
March 18, 10am to 5:30am. Programming runs from 10:30am to 5pm.
