Mariposa Folk Festival Celebrates 55th Anniversary with a Bang!

The Grande Dame of Canadian folk festivals is celebrating its 55th anniversary with a fantastic line-up!
 Mariposa (July 3-5) is known for presenting the best singer-songwriters on the music scene, and this year the festival welcomes three renowned headliners whose successful careers are grounded in great song writing; Mary Chapin-Carpenter (Friday), Lucinda Williams (Saturday) and Adam Cohen (Sunday).

The event offers 10 stages & more than a 100 performances over the 3-day festival, offering great choices for every musical taste. The full line-up features 50 artists on the North American and international music scene, and encompasses a wide range of styles, influences and genres. In recognition of the PanAm games (right after Mariposa), festival programming will include  workshops celebrating the Americas with artists from Peru, Ecuador, Jamaica, Dominica, Barbados and St. Lucia.

All tickets categories are on sale, including the Hot Weekend Pass for Young Adults (Ages 19-24) for only $59, and the Youth Pass (Ages 13-18) for only $15. Kids are admitted free (accompanied by a ticket-bearing adult). Tickets can be purchased at www.mariposafolk.com   @MariposaFolk
